A boat ride followed by a thrilling Jungle trek.

About the trek :
Vasota is a Fort located near Bamnoli, Satara District of Maharastra. The height from sea level is 3842 Mt. Vasota trek will take your breath away as you would be going through a dense Jungle and witnessing an amazing surroundings which consists of Koyna backwater and mahabaleswar mountain ranges.

Routes:
You have to reach Satara first. Head on NH-4 from Pune, which will take you to Satara. It’s 110 km from Pune station. From there, you have to reach Bamnoli village (Base village for Vasota) which is 40km away. And from there you have to take boats to reach Vasota fort base.

Information for the trekkers :
You have to undergo 3-4 hours of walk and as wild animals are there in the Jungle you have to return before dark. You can not camp there but if you wish you can camp near the bank of Koyna backwater at Bamnoli Village. Make sure you reach the village by morning 8 AM and again return by 4 PM.
The journey :
On a Saturday night, you camp near a river bank. And when you wake up, you have no idea what the Sunday morning brings for you!!!!
